I'm a Chicagoland-area native who made my way out to Silicon Valley after earning my BFA in Graphic Design at Columbia College Chicago. In 2012 I made San Francisco my home and worked at a range of startups gaining experience with companies of all sizes and colleagues who mentored me along the way.

Nothing inspires me more than getting to know people and how they spend their hours and days. I spent the greater part of 2017 traveling the world and absorbing all that I could about the cultures and values outside of the Western world. Travel has greatly impacted my work and ties in with my passions for learning and relating to others.

In 2023 I was diagnosed with sudden hearing loss and a chronic condition. Living with a hearing disability has changed the way I relate to the world and aware of what the digital and real world lacks in terms of accessibility. I am striving to learn how folks with a range of needs navigate the world around them and how my design work can help and influence those needs.

ABOUT MY WEBSITE

The newest version of my website was redesigned with accessibility considerations. All pages were determined accessible using axe DevTools. I added alt text to all images for screen readers. Keyboard users will find a focus state to tab around the website. I chose a black background for highest contrast possible and when not using white text, I chose colors with a high contrast after running them through the Stark contrast checker. The light blue accent color against my site's black background is contrast 12.12 AAAText is left-aligned where possible for highest legibility, and text size on mobile is coded to be above 12px in all cases on mobile for high legibility.
